[attachment 1878 sebile_pr_photo_AFTA_2010_awards.jpg]
Gold Coast, Australia, August 17, 2010 — SEBILE has won an unprecedented four awards at AFTA, the Australian Fishing and Tackle Association's trade show held from August 14-16, 2010 on Australia's Gold Coast, including Best Hard Lure for its Koolie Minnow BRL Big Round Lip, Best Soft Lure for its Magic Swimmer Soft, Best Terminal Tackle for the SEBILE Soft Weight System, and Best Medium Stand for its booth with casting length lure demonstration tank. No company or brand has ever won four awards at this show before.

The three winning tackle products are:

Koolie Minnow BRL Big Round Lip. A hard plastic, long-bodied lure. The favorite of almost every angler who has ever tried one, the BRL rolls side to side, generating a zigzag action that's terribly exciting to predators and draws fish from great depths and distances. Available in three sizes and in regular, Full Wire Reinforced and ultra-strong Salt & Sun strengths for all medium to large fish. The BRL is one incredible lure you won't find anywhere else, and it catches fish when nothing else does.
Magic Swimmer Soft. A durable jointed soft lure that swims as good as a real baitfish, plus it can be rigged weedless and snagless to go where ordinary lures can't. It comes pre-rigged with the SEBILE Soft Weight System or may be used with a variety of popular hooks, jigs and rigs. Comes in four sizes to appeal to most predators in fresh or saltwater.
Soft Weight System. Tungsten gum rubber weights that are environmentally-friendly and may be re-used multiple times. Weights hold in place where positioned on SEBILE's custom-made hook. Easy on/off allows on-the-water adjustments to fishing conditions. Change position to give a lure different falling and swimming actions. Hooks are ultra-sharp, ultra-strong and made to the highest precision hook standards with durable, corrosion-resistant finish for fresh or saltwater.
Speaking from the Australian Fishing Tackle Trade Show floor upon accepting the four awards, company founder, CEO, lure designer and legendary angler Patrick Sebile said, "Ever since I was a little boy, I have always dreamed of having my own lure company. Yet never have I imagined winning so many awards or being so popular with the media, retailers and shopkeepers who voted for SEBILE in Australia and the outdoor writers, editors, wholesale buyers and retailers who voted for us at EFTTEX and ICAST. To each of you, I dearly thank you for helping make the success and reality of SEBILE surpass even my wildest dreams. And I really want to thank Claire and Damon Olsen as well as every one at Nomad Sportfishing, my distributor in Australia, for the wonderful support they bring to me to make the SEBILE brand introduction in Australia such a success. Thank you so much!"

SEBILE has won awards at all three of the world's major international tackle trade shows in 2010.

In June 2010, Sebile became the first brand on record to win three awards at EFTTEX, the European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition in Valencia, Spain with Best Hard Lure for its D&S Crank, Best Metal Lure for its Pro-Shad Spinnerbait and Best Terminal Tackle for the SEBILE Soft Weight System.

In July 2010 at ICAST, the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades in Las Vegas, Nevada, SEBILE won the Best Terminal Tackle award for the SEBILE Soft Weight System.

Including the eight awards in 2010, SEBILE has a grand total of eleven industry awards within the past three years.

At ICAST in 2009 in Orlando, Florida, SEBILE became the first company in ICAST's 41 year history to win both hard and soft lure categories, including Best Soft Lure for its Magic Swimmer Soft and Best Hard Lure for its Spin Shad.

At EFTTEX in 2008 in Rome Italy, SEBILE won Best Hard Lure for its Stick Shad Blood Red series.

AFTA, ICAST and EFTTEX Best of Show awards are the highest level of achievement and recognition possible within the international fishing tackle trade.

What is most remarkable is that SEBILE USA (located in Palmer Lake, Colorado) has only been in business for four years, since 2006. To win eleven of the industry's most highly-coveted awards in such a short time is exceptional and unprecedented.

About SEBILE Innovative Fishing
SEBILE is not a typical company that produces common styles or copies currently popular tackle as others in the industry do; but SEBILE researches, tests and offers anglers unique products that are one-of-a-kind. One of SEBILE's trademark methods to activate SEBILE lures is to design for water turbulence that lets them mimic aquatic life, move naturally and be sensed by fish due to these turbulences. Innovative shapes never seen before are also trademarks of SEBILE lures. They are quite different than the common industry standard shapes because they're designed to truly "speak" to the fish more than to the angler, and that is a big part of the success that SEBILE baits have had in the short time the company has been in business.

SEBILE lures are designed for all predator species, for the biggest to the smallest, from top to bottom, anywhere you fish in fresh or saltwater, there are SEBILE lures to match the size and strength of the species you plan to catch, to match your fishing gear, methods, the conditions and environment..

Headquartered in Palmer Lake, Colorado, SEBILE has product distribution in over forty countries.

Patrick Sebile is CEO, founder and product designer. Patrick has landed over 600 species of fish in fresh and salt water in 63 countries. He has developed the company's entire product line of sportfishing tackle based on his vast experience, including designing fishing products for over twenty years for other major tackle companies prior to founding his own company in 2006.
The silhouette is designed in the image of primary forage fish of the lakes and bays. Its size is a great asset when predators prove to be spooky. Due to the understated keel on its belly the flat stick reacts to each twitch of the rod tip. Try working with a little slack to magnify the effects even more. Twitch it! Jerk it! Slam it!&..Hang on! Jerk stick / floating: Sitting just under the surface, the floating model will dart and dive with a twitch or jerk of the rod tip. This bait is extremely effective over shallow flats and near the waters edge! Underwater stick / sinking model: The tungsten ballast causes the sinking model to wobble and quiver like a lost bait fish in search of the school. A slight twitch of the rod tip imparts various actions only limited by the angler's imagination.
Possessed Series
The revolutionary principal behind the patent pending "possessed" series is the glitter filled fluid in the cavity that moves and flows bringing life to the lure. The moving fluid creates the "3D" appearance of loss of scales like a fleeing and injured baitfish, while improving casting distance and accuracy by optimising weight displacement. The blood red eye's send out a 360° signal easily defining the zone of attack! The highest quality stainless and corrosion resistant components available are used in manufacturing the Possessed series.

Rattsler a Kayakers new love For a new Hard Bait (1 reply)

Shake, Rattle and roll! Says Sebile lures. The addition ofthe Rattsler to the Sebiloe line up ads a unique dynamic to the standard crank bait. I used this lure for the last few trip i took in the kayak and in the gheenoe and man does it rock. The Rattslers thin body and mass transfer partition allows for lengthy cast and ease while being retrieved. The tight vibration and small profile generates vicious strikes under the toughest circumstances. The Rattsler is versatility in size and running deth allows the kayak angler to cover the full range of water depths and strike zone making sur you find more fish. It comes in 3 different lips in two sizes, each model has a unique swimming action and running level that complements perfectly each other. Perfect for the kayak angler that like to fish in 4 feet and less over those grass flats. The Kayak angler will love using this lure for all your shallow water needs. It is great for both casting and trolling!

(Captain Tadd Van Demark, Islamorada, Florida)
"I fish the shallow waters of southern Florida as a guide and as a competitor. Most of the time, the depths where I'm targeting Snook, Reds, Trout, and Tarpon are less than 1 1/2 feet deep. That's why I need lures to fish without fouling the hook continually with grass if I do, the bite is gone! I first tried the Rattsler 65 SL and it was amazing! Yes, this lure swims at the correct level forthe shallow angler, but also it is poweed by a mass transfer system. The typical shad shape made by most brands are not conducive to long casting distances which is not the case for the Rattlser, if fact totally the opposite! I have never seen such a tiny bait cast such long distance and with pinpoint accuracy. This makes all the difference in the clear water flats I fish and gives me more stealthy approach and greater hook up ratio!"

The Small Lip (SL) is the perfect lure for shallow areas, boat, kayak, and wade fishing, and also to fish above structure or around fish busting bai early in the morning. For open water and mid-shallow zones, the ML - Medium Lip - is the lip to use, fresh or saltwater. The unique design of the Very Long Lip (VLL) is not only to help the Rattsler go deep : this design makes the lure vibrate like lipless vibration bait, but with the advantage of having a lip. Perfect for casting and ideal for trolling. All Rattsler come with a superior designed mass transfer system. Most of the weight goes to the tail for casting, and the returns to the head during the swimming action. Rattslers are Rocket!

Here is a list of the Rattsler model, size, weight, type, level at witch it will dive to and the colors it comes in.

Sebile Lures Review

After several years of using soft baits for the majority of my fishing trips, I have been more spending most of my time lately using hard baits for a change. I have had the opportunity to use three different Sebile lures with good success. The Bonga Minnow for topwater action, the Stick Shadd suspending jerk bait, and the new flat Shadd that sinks slowlys.

My favorite type of inshore fishing is topwater. There is nothing that compares to the action and aggression of a fish striking topwater baits. The Sebile Bonga Minnow 95ft in Amber Fashion is one of the topwater lures I have been using recently and the action is great. The fluid inside accentuates the action and helps the casting distance. On my last few trips we have caught everything from Jack Crevalle, Bluefish, Snook and the best fish we caught was a 9lb Seatrout fishing around schools of mullet.

When fishing deeper flats and around docks and schooling bait, I like to fish a suspending lure and the Stick Shadd suspending bait from Sebile has been very productive. It has a great action when twitched or jerked in shallow water. It darts and dives enticing strikes from many different types of gamefish.

I also use the Flat Shadd around deeper, flats docks and when fishing drop offs. The bait sinks slowly and it vibrates quite a bit on retrieve. The vibration drives gamefish crazy. It can be worked on a Steady retrieve or it can be either trolled or Jigged. The shape and action of the lure allow it to be fished in heavy cover without getting snagged. We have caught a lot of different fish on the Flatt Shadd and look forward to using it quite a bit in the near future.

This has been my first experience using Sebile products. I had good success with them on many different types of fish and in while fishing a few different areas. The baits are productive and my only change I make to the baits are the hooks. I change out the hooks to a 2x or 4x hook depending on the bait. The hooks that came on the suspending lures broke on me after a few uses. I would recommend giving Sebile lures a try if you haven’t experienced them yet and hopefully you will have the same success as I have.

Sebile Floating Twitch Bait (no replies)

As an avid user of top waters, I think I've see just about everything that type of lure has to offer. I've used Zara's, Mirror's and Bomber's, ChugaBuGs and Hulla Poppers and all of them have worked their magic for me over time. Well, now there is a "new kid on the block" that has me swooning like a teenage girl at a Beatles concert.
Sebile Lures has come out with an excellent floating twitch bait. It took me a few days to figure out the in's and outs of the lures patterns and the most effective ways to use it to its fullest potential.
Don't get me wrong here the lure itself is neither hard to work or complex in the way you have to work it. As a matter of fact it almost works itself. If you want to fish it in a float and twitch motion, all you have to do is give a slight flick of the wrist and you have a great dive and wobble side to side that brings any fish in the area in to investigate. The rattles in the lure are dampened a little with an oil poured internally so it creates a softer ,less metallic noise that I believe the fish respond to better. And, as we all know, the harder you twitch the deeper it goes and the more noise the rattles create. That was week 1..
Week two was even better.
In the second week of trials I decided to give it at try as a semi-constant retrieve, just to see if there were more to it than just another subsurface top water plug. I mean...you can get any old generic knock-off plug from the discount bin at Wally world to use as a floating twitch bait right??...Wrong!!!
As I got more comfortable with the lure, I found it had some amazing qualities.
I became very impressed with the lures ability to not only twitch and dive with a great action, but the most unique thing about it was yet to come for me.... I found a very effective retrieve that I have not seen any other lure on the market perform.
By using a "walk the dog" retrieve, the Sebile floating twitch bait would walk the dog just under the surface of the water. This retrieve with a few variations proved very effective. Combining the two styles, walking the dog over the grass beds and then pause and twitching over the sand pockets or prop scar's made for some exciting eruptions and solid takes.
All in all the Sebile Lure's have far exceeded me expectations. The lure line they have produced seems to have been well thought out and designed with the serious fisherman in mind. The range and total versatility of each of their products is matched by great color pattern's and some serious life like action. The Subsurface walking the dog action is genius when combined with a great profile and a little rattle.
As if it matter's but I'll say it anyway....Check out Sebile, you wont be let down.

I Hate Top - Waters: The Sebile Slim Stick - Review (4 replies)

I have had a lot of success fishing from a kayak. I have boated many hundreds of fish since taking up this insane sport. There's really no rational explanation for this because I lack all the skills needed to be a good kayak angler. And when it comes to the art of throwing and retrieving a top - water lure I just plain stink. I'm so bad that I will not use a top - water unless I'm desperate.

Still, I would like to be proficient in the ways of this lure. I know it's the main weapon in many a kayak anglers arsenal. But when I try to walk the dog I almost always wind up with the trebles caught on the leader. I might as well be trying to attract fish by retrieving a dead tree branch. It's just not pretty.

Then there's my questionable casting abilities. I throw short. I fear foliage. I hook oysters, mangroves and other kayak anglers when employing top- waters. It's embarrassing. I am wildly inaccurate and a danger to others.

These are just two of my many personal reasons for not using top - water lures. I have more reasons and scars but will not go into those now. I will, however, tell you about a recent fishing trip where, in the blink of an eye, I lost my disdain for a particular top - water. The Sebile Slim Stick.

I'm fishing my usual oyster beds near Chokoloskee Island where I always have great success. But this day nothing was working. All my usual weapons were failing miserably. Then I remembered that I was given a Sebile Slim Stick to try by my buddy Pete. The super skinny water I was fishing certainly called for a top - water and I was completely alone so there would be no one around to see me make a fool of myself if I tied the Slim Stick on. So I did.

OK, first cast, here we go. I let loose and I was amazed. The lure sailed in a beautiful arc. It went way past where I thought it would go and landed on top of an oyster bed with barely four inches of water covering the reef. I thought for sure I would be snagged but "No". I started the retrieve and the Stick started "walkin" all by itself. Then, BLAMMO ... a big, beautiful, top - water explosion that I could only dream about occurred. I had a nice, feisty Jack Crevalle hooked up.

"This is easy" I thought to myself. The lure was flying where I was aiming it and I was throwing a country mile. I started to play around a little with the action and I was now a professional dog walker. I was fearlessly casting into the super skinny and pulling Snook off the oysters. The Sebile Slim Stick turned a skunk day into an exciting, Snook blasting, I Fishhead day. You know .. my usual day.

When I got home I read the advertising claims on the Slim Stick box. I don't have to tell you what it says on the box because everything I just wrote about my glorious day is covered. The Sebile Slim Stick is now a deadly weapon in my arsenal. I love it so much that I did not even curse when I got the trebles embedded in my stake out rope.
